Our Story
While many companies in quantum computing focus on breakthrough processors, we focus on what makes them work. Scaling quantum systems is not only a question of qubits, it is a question of reliable readout.
-
2016Our founders, Nicolas Roch and Luca Planat, met while working on superconducting systems at the CNRS Institut Néel in Grenoble. This is where the first designs and prototypes of parametric amplifiers began to take shape.
-
2020
After several years of research, they identified a critical gap: quantum computers would not scale without a more accurate way to read out qubits inside the cryostat. The company began to take shape.
-
2022Baptiste Planat joined to co-found Silent Waves. From the beginning, the ambition was clear: deliver reliable TWPA technology at scale. A small team, built to move fast and stay close to the technology.
-
2024Following early collaborations with leading laboratories and research institutions, Silent Waves expanded into the commercial quantum sector. The company began supplying TWPAs to a growing international customer base.
